Recognising unrealistic income claims

How to spot the language that should make you slow down, whoever is using it.

Independent business opportunity — not employment and not a holiday-booking website.

Warning language

Claims like these are red flags regardless of who makes them, including anyone associated with this community.

  • Guaranteed income, or income described as certain.
  • Passive income requiring no ongoing activity.
  • Screenshots of earnings presented as typical.
  • Pressure to decide today, or fear of missing out.
  • Lifestyle imagery used in place of business information.
  • Discouragement from asking questions or seeking advice.

What good information looks like

Clear costs, published terms, an official income disclosure, a real product or service, permission to take your time, and a person who is comfortable saying 'this may not be for you'.

Individual results vary. Success requires personal effort, learning and consistent activity.
